My name is Jess Couper, Msn, Cnm, and I'm so glad you're here!

Jess Couper, MSN, CNM received her Master of Science in nurse midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, KY, and her Bachelor of Science in nursing from William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ. She completed her clinical training for midwifery in NY and NJ in various home and hospital settings. She is licensed in the state of NJ as a Certified Nurse Midwife with prescriptive authority.

Jess is incredibly passionate about herbalism, as well as trauma informed, holistic, and integrative & functional midwifery care and stays informed on these topics to aid in her ever-evolving practice of midwifery. She has completed herbalism training at the Gaia School of Healing & Earth Education with Sage Maurer. Jess is also a HAES practitioner, and loves to support clients of any size.

During her nursing program, she created and implemented an original research project and ultimately evaluated over 3000 participant responses. This research project focused on the relationship between interpersonal processes of care as exhibited by the primary care provider and the level of maternal satisfaction with the birthing experience. She was grateful to be able to present her research findings across the country as an author at multiple conferences. She would like to continue to add to the growing body of midwifery related research in the future.

Jess has been married for over 13 years to her loving husband, Tim, and is the proud mom of their adorable goldendoodle, Ellie, and their human rainbow baby, Juniper Snow (Ginny for short). In her spare time, you can find her hiking all over the Northeast, quilting, crafting, gardening, getting tattoos, making brooms, and spending quality time with her family.
